The machine specs are: G3/233 DT upgraded to 450, 192 MB Ram, OS 9.1.
I've tried this using the standard AV inputs and by using an ixTV PCI card. I've tried both Apple's Video Player and ixTV Desktop. Again, both same result although Apple's Video Player software seems to give better video results.
I tried to use iMovie 2 to input the video but it won't recognize the camera unless it's a firewire input. I'm not too concerned with video quality, just trying to copy over all my 8mm tapes to computer so i can get a newer DV camera. Can anyone make any suggestions on how to alleviate my video troubles? As I said, both ixTV and Apple's Video Card with play the video just fine but when it is recorded, that's when the stalls/choppiness occur.
