I think my G3/500 with 512 MB RAM and a 9 GB HD and a 120 GB storage drive just went a bit crazy.
The "About this Mac" says that I am running system 10.2. BUT when I tried to install Quicktime 6.5 it said that it could not be installed on this computer. SO I went to Apple and downloaded 6.4, it said that it could not install on my HD because it was not running 10.2, SO I went to Apple and downloaded 6.3, it said that it could not install on my HD because it was not running 10.2. BUT the computer tells me that I am running 10.2, AND iMovie 3 requires 6.3 or better.
Anybody heard of this before and what is the work around.
I just got it to recogzize the PCI ethernet card and am happily surfing in Netscape 7.1.
Also, how do I change the memory allocation for applications??
Thank,
Dan
