I have a Canon MultiPASS C755 4in1. The Canon site says no drivers for
Mac. Can Gimp Print driver work? If so how do you invoke Gimp to
interface with the printer?
Thanks,
Jerry

Jerry,

Compatibility list for Gimp-Print, in case you haven't seen it, is at:
<http://Gimp-Print.sourceforge.net/p_Supported_Printers.php3>

Your printer does not seem to be listed, but I don't know whether any multi-function machine is listed. Is the printer in the multi-function machine identical to a specific standalone Canon printer?

I am not a professional, but I don't see any harm that could be done by installing Gimp-Print and testing whether it will work with your printer.

After installing ESP Ghostscript and Gimp-Print, open Print Center and HOLD THE OPTION KEY while clicking on "Add Printer" in the toolbar. The item "Advanced" should appear in the setup list. Click on "Advanced" and this will bring up a list that should include your printer. Then add it as with any other printer.

It is all explained in a PDF manual that can be downloaded from:
<http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/users-manual.pdf>

If that doesn't work, go to:
<http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/p_Documentation.php3> and click on "user's manual".
