Regular CDs and CD-RWs mount fine and work fine in both OS 9 and OS X. I was able to burn an audio CD from iTunes in OS X. But I cannot get a DVD (commercial movie) to mount in either OS although it starts up fine if I use the iMacs internal DVD-Rom.
It is not the end of the work if I never get DVDs to mount in this drive. The main thing is having a non-SCSI burner I can use in (my only other is an external SCSI) but I am curious. Is the fault likely in the drive I am using or in the Mac? How can I troubleshoot this?
