Agree with Ron, The Yikes G4 is a B&W 66MHZ Bus, PCI Graphics with a G4
instead of a G3. I tend to think of it as a G3/G4 Hybrid in that it has
a G4 processor in a G3 based motherboard architecture. I would recommend
starting with at least the Sawtooth model as you get a 100MHz bus, and
AGP graphics (2 x Acceleration), I personally went for the Digital Audio
533MHz (DA family starts with the 466) to get 4 x AGP, 133MHz bus,
Gigabit Ethernet.

I too was tempted to get a B&W, but the G4 was not that much more
expensive. Here in Sydney G3 B & W's go for anything from AUS$350
upwards with Yikes G4's starting at AUS$400. The AGP is the bare minimum
if you then wanted to upgrade to say a 1GHz G4! I got my G4 533 DA for
just under AUS$1000, with most 400MHz AGP's coming in at AUS$700. I
certainly don't regret spending the extra $300 as it is worth it in the
long run.

Best Regards
Pete

Anything less than the Sawtooth G4 is basically the same Mac as your B&W
with a G4 CPU. So you can save money and add a G4 chip to your B&W or
get the Sawtooth or better as mentioned.
