While pondering what to do about my autistic Beige G3, I got to wondering ...

What is the highest level replacement mobo that will fit into a beige MT
without modification, if that should become necessary ? How would I recognize it,
in ads or auctions ?

Come to think of it, how do I distinguish the ones I have, just by looking at
them. I'm a teacher, rebuild Macs as a hobby, and have (just in the G3s) 2
desktops and 3 minitowers, so this is a useful bit of knowledge. I'm always
reading of various versions of mobo and ROM, but no clear way of spotting them
has emerged.
