Ray, Think someone has addressed the USB issue already but thoughts based on your last paragragh: 1. The ix micro card, USB card, & most of the memory was probably added by someone along the way as these were not stock or BTO items. 2. Do you mean DVD decoder or DVD player? 3. I would look at/compare the USB extensions installed on the machines. Most likely not the same set-up or packages installed? BobT

I have another regular Beige G3 233 (upgraded to 466mhz, rev B). I thought I would just migrate to this AV Beige G3 due to it's DVD capability and I switched everything but this USB2/Firewire card that worked flawlessly would not work in this AV Beige G3. I also tried another USB card which I had previous to the firewire card and it didn't work either; only the one that came with it. So, now I thinking of just going back to my regular Beige G3. Anyone else have one of these AV Beige G3? I was thinking of getting another usb/firewire card but wonder if it will work? There other oddities about this AV Mac that I started to discover when I switched but I will start with this. Miscellaneous note: I found it at a thrift store for $29, it came in the original box with everything intact: DVD, USB, 56k, Apple ixMicro video card, as well as over 400mb of memory. I assume that this was sold this way originally for the most part. >> -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
