Since the latest update to OS-X (10.3.5) is something like 88 MB, how are people like me who are on a slow dialup connection supposed to get the thing? I guess I could let the download run all night, but it's been my experience that with a file that big there's always some sort of screw-up or corruption by the time it all comes over the wire.
Is the update available on a CD somewhere?
I don't know but I'd like to see update CD's available also. I guess they figure there are none of us on dial-up anymore.Call the Apple e-store. They have always offered the updates on CD for $19.95 shipping included. Not free but a viable solution if you're stuck with a dial up. I think they burn them to order, as there's usually a few days wait for shipping. In the days before we got broadband I used the service a couple of times. Worked fine.
Each OS is getting larger and larger too which makes it worse.
