As it clearly explains on the LowEndMac site for this list, AOL has
a screwy protocol. It doesn't handle the "mailto:"; command, and instead
puts it in the address:

> For the benefit of everyone the following message always is sent back to me
> when I follow the directions to send a blank email to the below address:
>
> ----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Notice the address you sent it to? "mailtog-list....etc."

Well, it should simply read "g-list...etc."

Select the letters m and a and i and l and t and o and CUT them in
the address. Then you will have the correct address and you will
be able to send the message properly, and the listserve program can
remove you.

As an AOL member, haven't you noticed MAILTO problems before?

As a user of Finder Mail, I have the same problem! Very annoying.
Write to AOL. Tell the people there their company sucks. (I'm using
FinderMail for free, so I won't tell them the same. But I will pay
for the program after they fix that! See link below my sig.)
