I also have an Apple 16/1600. Recently purchased from ebay for 40 bucks.
It works great and I use 24lb paper. The problem of accordion folding is
easily fixed. I don't remember the name exact name of the kit, but it is
sold with a CD movie showing how to install the kit. Not that expensive as I
recall. Check Fixyourownprinter.com or just plug in Laser printer repair in
your browser.
