It's slow but encodes in many different formats and is being constantly updated. Homepage is:

(totally worth registering for $15 if you want to encode video. I am proud to say I did) It's completely unrestricted without registering though. Just nag screens.

Needs to work like a charm, be bomb-proof, and play well once imported into Authorware.
I don't have iMovie, but could put Premiere 5.1c on under Classic if it would run.
Nothing leaps out on macupdate.
