                      What OS is the G3 running?

                      Make sure AppleTalk is turned on
from the control panel (not from the 
                      Chooser) and pointed at the
proper port.  Then turn on File Sharing...

Greetings again,
  I am using a g3 tower running OS 9.2.  Appletalk is
turned on and so is File sharing.  That is why I don't
know what else to do.  Any other suggestions?
