Hi All--

I finally got a new Asante FriendlyNET PCI 696 card to put in my G4 Tower. (I use the built in ethernet for my DSL and the other one to connect to a small LAN.) Running Panther, the card isn't recognized. I installed the driver from the CD that came with the card, but I don't know what version it is or anything--maybe I just need something newer for Panther?

I also can't get it to work restarted in OS 9.2.

The old card I had in there (I think it was a Kensington) would only be recognized if I restarted in OS9--never in X.

Any ideas? Do I need a newer driver?

BTW, on Asante's website, it SAYS there's a new driver for this card for Panther, but when I follow links I only get a download page that has drivers up to Jaguar.

I tried zapping PRAM and resetting the logic board--no luck.

Thanks,

Joe
