Hi,

I'm running a Beige G3 tower with a Encore Zif g4 1Ghz processor in it and a Radeon 7000 card. Currently running 10.3.5 very happily. For me this was a cost-effective measure because I got the card fairly cheap through eBay and prices here in the UK are higher for used macs than over in the US.

You need two things to get the beige G3's running 10.3:
1. xpostfacto 3
2. A huge amount of patience.

Once it's up and running, however, it's great. I'm even trying out the Quartz hack at the moment with no side effects so far. Apart from the eye strain of spending too much time on the computer watching that cube slide back and forth as I pointlessly switch users.

cheers,

Nick
