You don't start a AIO from a "switch on the front", you start it up by pressing the power button on the keyboard (like all Macs I've ever heard of). The button is (on a Mac keyboard anyway) usually located on the top right corner. If the Mac doesn't start up when you press it (with the familiar Mac "bong"), then the battery on the motherboard is dead. You have to replace it with a new one (Radio Shack sells those I believe). That's about all I can say on the subject.
