If you are running OSX, I would repair permissions first.
Folx, I am tearing my hair out. I have been cleaning up/backing up a fairly large number of files on my BW Rev 1 G4/466, with Sonnet Tempo 66 ATA controller. I have dumped files, erased disks, low level formated a drive (all 0's)... everything I can think of. And still, when I try to move folders to a different disk (any disk other than where they are) I get "The finder cannot complete the operation because some data in file.xxx could not be read or written. (error code -36)" The file changes, so it's not a single corrupt file. Original disk and destination disk change. Still the same bloody error.
Help? (whimper, whimper whimper)
Mikeal
I have repaired permissions at least 30 times in the last 2 weeks. That ain't it. Thanks anyway,
Mikeal
