Kris Tilford,
What format codes are you using that my Mac does not like? I have a Beige G-3 with G-4 Zif.
Thank you for changing the subject line to a more accurate description of my problem.
The question you ask was answered in my posting. It is the "manually selected Western (ISO Latin 1)" which is shown under "Text Encoding" at the bottom of the "Message" menu in Panther Mail.app 1.3.9(v619). The question I asked was: How do I change the "Default" setting which in my computer (same as yours) has been switched to "Windows-1252" ???
If I try to send a posting in "Windows-1252" it bounces. If I manually select Western (ISO Latin 1) it seems to "translate" the Default encoding and thus adds all these "=20" to the end of the sentences. Again, how can I switch the Default Text Encoding? (I'm leaning toward trashing some preference files and relaunching since there doesn't seem to be any other method available)
this is a part of your message as I see it. I place them in a "Lists" folder within my Bookmarks Bar of Safari. The=20= folder opens as a drop down menu of list archives to easily reference=20 in one click Thanks, Terrie
