Works great in my Beige G3 MT, 533 MHz, CD-ROM-R-R/W on EIDE Bus 0, DVD-ROM-R-R/W on EIDE Bus 1, Radeon 7000 for DVD playback, ATTO LVD/SE SCSI card for all other devices. I intentioally backleveled this 333 MHz machine from a Rev. 3 ROM to a Rev. 1 ROM as I have no use for Slave devices. Whatever improvements were added to the Rev. 3 ROM for the Rage Pro PCI video chip aren't used, anyway, as I don't use the on-motherboard video. Most likely, the designation "Road Apple" came from lack of Slave suport (fixed with the Rev. 2 ROM), or from problems with the obsolete Rage DVD chip used in the Rev. 1 motherboards. -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
