My Dell does the same thing. While I was working on my 400 slot loader it froze up and when I re-booted I got 3 beeps then the button changed from green to orange, flashed 4 times, turned green again then kept repeating itself over & over.
Does anyone know what is going on here?

This is part of the power up self test New World Macs perform. Three beeps means that none of the installed memory banks passed the test. This could mean that they are not seated properly or have gone bad.
