The B&W power supply probably isn't powerful enough and it isn't wired the same as an ATX power supply, though I think that you can mod it. However I think it uses the same mounting style so it would probably be best to replace it with an ATX.
Your main problems are going to be in mounting a motherboard. The mounts between an ATX and B&W motherboard are completely different. You have to make new mounting points in the case, and make sure the PCI slots all line up. You will also need to pick an ATX motherboard where the processor will not get in the way of the drive bays and make sure that you heat sink isn't to tall for wherever the processor is located. Optionally you will also have to make a new port cover for the ATX ports. -----Original Message----- From: G-List [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Larry le Mac Sent: Friday, October 15, 2004 15:32 To: G-List Subject: G3 B&W into Mac II and PC into B&W case As I mentioned before, I will remove the guts of a B&W and subsequently stick them into an old Mac case. Now this is easy enough, but what I intend to do with the B&W case is to create the most beautiful PC ever, i.e. it'll look like a Mac. My question is, what type of power supply does the B&W have ? Is it a standard ATX like a modern-ish PC ? Any other aspects of putting a PC into a G3 B&W case ? Larry -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
