Re: 10.2.8 on beige g3

Be forewarned that there are many, many people who have problems with 10.2.8 
on beige g3s.  Specifically, the disc utility often will not work correctly, 
causing a BIG hang when repairing permissions.  I had this problem, and 
others (mostly with running maintenance routines).  It was also more crash 
prone (as bad as os 9). Wouldn't work with my audio card (hard freezes) 
either.  After many wasted months I read about this problem on "deal mac", 
and reinstalled 10.2.3, and everything works the way it should.  I may try 
updating to 10.2.6.  I tried everything conceivable to get things working 
with 10.2.8, and absolutely couldn't.  kj.
