Well I think I have narrowed it down to the adapter dongle I have to be
able to plug in a VGA Gateway 20 inch monitor to the G3 video port. A huge
thing with a dial and dip switches. This cutoff problem (on the screen not
printing, and does show up in screenshots) started when I put it on. So I
either have to get more VRAM or a video card with a VGA port. Been looking
on ebay but lost one of them by $1 just today :-(

I'm posting this for general G-List FYI. Maybe someone else who is using a
VGA-to-Mac adapter has the same problem. It was hard to explain what was
happening. Now it's always cutting off the from, to, cc, and bcc lines but
no big deal. Link to the pics is below:

I just got a smaller VGA to Mac adapter that has no dial or dip switches
from We Love Macs.com and there was no red so I had a green screen. Yuk!
Plus only option in monitors control panel was 1 and that was 640x480 and
256 colors super yuk! Hard to get it on just right, so gave up. Put the
fancy one back on and everything is OK except for the cutoff problem (also
have more resolution options and millions of colors). I can live with that
for now. Basically it's a "huh???" problem.

Thanks John for inquiring personally.
