Running a G3/450/768MT. Every once in a while the computer will just shut off. It is usually when I'm using it. The screen goes black, the monitor light stays green for a few seconds then goes orange. The temperature on both the processor and hard drive stays the same, a little over 100F. What would the probable cause of this be. It has not caused any great problems yet, but I have a chance to change my hard drive if that could possibly be the cause. I was thinking processor, but it is a new one in the last year and I think the machine has done this before it was replaced. Is it possible that the memory could do this and if yes, how would I test for it?
I think it more likely that it's the power supply that's causing this, or something shorting out the switch on the front (or a misaligned case pressing against it) not memory.
