Hello All, I'm still trying to pick out an external modem for my G-Box. I've had a really generous offer of a V.90 modem, but the anal-retentive in me will just not rest knowing that all the newer modems are on the V.92 standard.
Has anyone used V.90 and V.92 modems side-by-side and noticed an appreciable speed increase with their newer modem? I know that 53k or so is the most you can hope to squeeze out of POTS lines, but the V.92 standard is supposed to make downloading faster.
