A friend a mine just purchased an eMac and wanted to transfer files from her 1st Gen iMac. No firewire. The shop tells them they'll have to lay out ~ $150 to do this, and they're about to do so when I hear of this. Why? On a sheet of paper that came with the eMac, it say, essentially, you *require* OS X and firewire, etc to transfer files. OMG! Steve jobs, wtf?? Tried ethernet with file sharing, etc and the iMac couldn't be accessed. So we used my 128mb usb drive.
