Yersinia: here is a good place to start in regard to educating yourself about all the different models of the Mac. http://www.info.apple.com/support/applespec.html Also on this page, check out this link http://www.info.apple.com/support/applespec.legacy/index.html which discusses older Mac models. It's very enlightening. I have used this resource many times. Check it out.
