Please - would some one give some suggestions as to
making the web see my Active X ?

Running OS 9.1 and IE 5.1 on a Beige G3

Trying to get my new Gmail account to work.

Active X checked in IE Preferences -
but - Gmail keeps saying:

Gmail requires ActiveX controls to be enabled
Your browser seems to be Internet Explorer,
and ActiveX seems to be disabled.
Gmail requires ActiveX to be enabled in order to operate.

I've even re-installed IE.
Makes no difference.

Thanks ;-)

IE for OS 9 (or X for that matter) hasn't been updated since 2001. Active X has been.

I doubt that the version of Active X in MacIE has even been touched since version 4.5.
