I'll throw in my $0.02... Kodak Ultima 650MB Literally one (1) coaster in appx 100 ... and *that* was likely due to my impatience (thinking the program had stalled).
I've burned with both iTunes and Toast on a Yamaha SCSI (!) CD burner attched to my G4 500, and the built in burner of my TiBk 867. Used OS 9, Jaguar and Panther. I have *not* tried burning from the finder. Note that I use 650MB CD-R, and I burn at no more than 4x for audio. Things may have changed from when I first investigated CD-R media, but at the time (2-3 yrs ago?) it seemed that the official spec was not adhered to in sizes above 650MB, *nor* in any CD-RW media.
