Greetings!
I am the proud-but-very-overwhelmed owner of a G4
Mirror Drive door Mac. Today was my first experience with
OS X! I'm a bit stunned. I have been using an upgraded
7600 with OS 9.1 for years, so this is quite a change.
Here's my question: I have a Combo drive in one of
the optical bays. I would like to put an internal IDE/ATAPI
250 MB Zip drive in the other bay. Will this work?
I noticed that other G4's say "zip optional" in their specs
but this one doesn't.
If it will work in that bay, couldn't I just leave the
faceplate off and keep my mirrored flap where it is--open it
manually when I need to?? I hate to ruin the aesthetics of
this thing on my very first day...
Thanks for any help. I'm sure I'll have lots more
questions later,
Anna
