Googles forte is searching through tremendous amounts of data, 8,058,044,651 web pages, to get the one that applies to your search query. And more often than not, even when there are more than 100,000 found pages, the one that I am looking for is on the first page of results.

The US Government 3 letter agencies (CIA, FBI, NSA (No Such Agency), TSA) and others have terabytes, if not petabytes, of information to search through. Have you ever heard of the "Carnivore" program?

It makes perfect sense to me that the US Government would call on the leading search company to help it sort through all the data that it collects.

But then again, I am a 4th generation Washingtonian and occasionally expect my Government to call in the established experts, rather than outsourcing it to 2 people that just started a company and got a small business set aside program project who are going to be sending all the work to some coders in Bangalore, India.
