So my advice to ANY one is use DVD-R for movies and DATA, and use DVD+RW for reusable data. I have ran across DVD players that will not use + discs but had a perfect rate with -R discs, I tried them in several players including friends machines. +RW are even worse! So only use DVD-R for movies. In fact there is not even an advantage that a consumer can really take with a +R disc any way. Its the +RW that have the advantage over -RW discs. +RW work like a floppy or hard disc, you can change files and erase bits of data at a time, -RW you have to start all over like a CD-RW would.
