You can hear all the sound coming out of the 2496 card if you set the 
sound output to it . If you have your speakers hook up to the card then 
you can hook up amp or turntable to the inputs on the card I use old 
mixer to do this . but with  the new softwear out you might not need a 
amp. on the turntable
