Question:
1 iBook G4/ 800/ OS X 10.3.7/ Dialup (located in the hallway) 1 iMac G4/ 800/ OS X10.3 (located in the room nearby) 1 Dlink router DI-604 2 Ethernet Cables Cat. 5
Want to share 1 dialup connection. How?
Hi Danielle.
You are using a router to share a *dialup* connection?
Question: Does the router have a modem? If answer is yes, use that to share your connection.
If answer is no, you don't need a router since you only have two computers. Use Internet Sharing (in System Preferences) on the machine whose modem you want to use. Share the modem connection over the ethernet connection. Connect the computers via ethernet, and that should be all you need to do.
