Dude, I think you left out the part where you go "neener neener neener" and
jump up and down.
Wow!
Best,

What you are saying are not "facts" they are opinions. People use what they can afford or are comfortable with.
I dragged my feet in switching from OS9 to OSX, hated it at first, now I like it. In addition to the hardware investment I made I also needed to upgrade most of my software (wasn't cheap, no-sir-re-bob, substatially more than $100).
But at work we still use OS9 on a variety of early G4's (I believe in the 500Mhz(?) range), 512MB. They feel pretty speedy to me, and I crank through the work using Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Quark, Word, Excel, Dreamweaver, assorted web browsers, and email programs. I use what is given me, and use it to the best of my abilities and its capabilities. OSX is coming, but with over 100 users to upgrade (some hardware and all software apps), OS9 it is.
Proper use of a Mac is using it for what you need it to do. Why upgrade when what you have is working for you? The bottom line is use what works for you, simple.
If getting the latest and greatest works for you, be happy, enjoy, spend. I will use what works for me, upgrade when I feel the need, and continue to zoom along with my just for me, not the latest Mac.
