Guys

A while back I replaced my G4 (Sawtooth 333) with a G4
(QuickSilver 733) ...I using OS X 3.8 (current) on the
QuickSilver and have OS 9.2 on the Sawtooth ...I still
have some data on the Sawtooth's hard drive that needs
to find it's way over to my new Mac ...the
QuickSilver.

My solution is to hook-up the two mac's to a local
direct network use the Eithernet connections ...will
this work?

Yes.

Also what software set-up is required?

Enable File sharing on the 9.2 system, or on the OS X system.

 and
can i drive this solution from my Quicksilver or do i
have to hook-up a monitor to the Sawtooth?

Well, you will have to to enable file-sharing on the Sawtooth, so at some point a monitor will have to be hooked up, but it'll run headless after that. I had an old Performa that ran for a couple of years under my desk as a web server, I used VNC and (because the OS 9 VNC server kept crashing) later a simple VGA switch if I needed to do something on it.

And PLEASE cut out the irrelevant sections of your messages, like the four copies of the LEM footers I just removed!
