IIRC, a standard 8.0 install disk will support all hardware configurations (up
to that date), while the disk that shipped with the machine will only support
that machine. Therefore, you can use a standard 8 disk and install 8 on any
machine capable of running 8, but you couldn't use say, an iMac's OS 8.5 CD to
install 8.5 on a 7300.
