But do you have a harddrive that you are trying to boot off of? If you havent specifically set that as your startup disk that may be the problem. It normally shoudnt do that even if you havent set a hard drive as a startup disk but if you actually have the startup disk set as a CD it may be opening the drive because that is where it actually expects its system folder.
