Yes, found out after I sent the message to the list, so I suppose I must find 
the original iMac CD drive which should be dirt cheap, can I put something else 
there?

Wow, the price of that upgrade is huge, I wouldn't pay it.

Well I am just looking at all the possibilities I may end up using it for parts 
too.
