Steve's comment was that he couldn't d/l a browser - specifically Netscape
7 (which, Steve, I don't believe would work with OS 8.x).

Reading carefully, it seems the errors come *after* the downloading.
Likely the browser is set to open whatever files it d/ls. If so, the file
is still there.

I *think* that, if he's trying to d/l something fairly recent (eg Netscape
7), it may be encoded with newer versions of Stuffit than the one he has
(eg. encoded as .sitx). The tedious solution might be to incrementally
upgrade Stuffit and your browser of choice.

To install - double click on the file, then follow the prompts. If it's
*only* the application you want that is showing, drag it to where you want
it kept.

Also - have someone  email you a copy of Stuffit Expander (that's a
freebie, yes? Not trying to suggest anything illegal here)). It's small
enough (OS X version, for example, is 2.3MB).
