I think the speed of Ultra 320 SCSI actually exceeds the speed of the PCI bus, but that would be the best way to go. Second best would be Ultra 160. Get a harddrive at least 10k rpm, and make sure its the same speed as your SCSI card or faster. If you get a Ultra 320 card, make sure all drives are ultra 320 because scsi drives only run as fast as the slowest device on the bus. So, if you want to use 320 with a 320 drive and a 160 drive, get a 2 channel card, one for the 320 speed drives and one for everything slower. I have a dual channel 160 card, one channel just for U160 drives and the other I plan on using slower SCSI drives.
