Andrew:
I have posted on this very subject more than once, and all I get is "try another browser". Why should I? The browser ain't the problem. Netscape won't load PayPal properly now either (B&W G3 Rev A OS9.2, IE 5.1.5, 5.1.7, Netscape 7.0.2).

Mike:
I don't know what the exact technical reason for your problem is here but, WOW, your attitude!

Andrew:
What attitude??

The attitude that businesses have to design their internet architecture around you, which in the big picture are part of a small minority of people, using older or even obsolete computer technology.

You are insinuating that Paypal is to blame for your problem.

I'm not saying that OS 9 and older browser users are at this point yet, but face it, that time is coming.
By all means, if pre- OS X users can find ways to continue to successfully use their older systems and OS then more power to 'em. (I still have one OS 9.1 only PPC, too). But don't EXPECT business technology to cater to you. The day is coming when Classic OS users are going to be SOL and just going to face the fact that you will need to make a change. Maybe some third party or independent code writers will save the day for you, but don't hold your breath.

I don't know enough about web design and the requirements and cost considerations for financial institutions when developing the platform for their internet-based business, but I'm sure there are cases where making 100% accessibility and functionality for all becomes an impracticality. OR even worse, when the IT geeks hired to implement the system are of the windows-based only mentality where OS X browsers can still function but little chance for OS 9.

Maybe some designers could take the extra steps needed to accommodate older system/browser users but for market-driven reasons or maintenance/tech support reasons decided not to. Ultimately if you, with your older technology, want or need this service is still your problem.

Comments to the effect that you shouldn't have to change anything in your computing system, even as the web infrastructure is changing and evolving as well as the Mac OS platform and hardware, are nonsensical.
