The problem began when OS 9 booted up in sad Mac. I had to install a Norton System Works CD to boot from that. Since he had OS 10.3 on a Partition I set to restart in OS X and all went well. I ran System Works on OS 9 and it fixed a couple of major problems and booted in OS 9 that went Ok but locked up.
Partitioned the new 160 GB drive in 3 partitions. One for OS X, one OS9 and one for Storage. I tried installing OS 9 but continued to have problems getting the installation to complete.
I finally left him running OS X with classic OS 9 which worked fine in that mode.
My question is there something about the Power Logic Board that may be giving me problems. When we first installed it everything worked fine until the other day.
We wanted to put a clean installation of OS 9.2.2 on the new HD. He does not want to use OS X because he feels it takes to much of his time to learn it. He may have to. Any experience from the list concerning the Power Logic Board and installing OS X and OS 9. I tried copying OS 9 from old drive to one of the partitions, but would hang up shortly after extensions getting ready to load.
