Normally, I would profess the virtues of owning any Epson printer (except the C44), and yet another lemon seems to have slipped through the fingers of quality control at Epson. Yes the CX 4600 is that lemon. There is a print shop guru that has offered invaluable information regarding various printers in the past. This lead me to a love affair with the SC 900 and 980 models. I'll leave that for a best of the best thread that may one day appear on this list. As for the CX4600 I hear that the carriage is excessively noisy and another red flag or two, but the fact that it didn't come recommended from this acquaintance of mine compels me to voice my concern to anyone that might appreciate the heads up!
