I just went through this with my 233 and 266 G3's. No upgrades, just stock
machines, one with a larger HD.
My ethernet ports were dead on both machines. I know this because I finally
went to Frye's, which is just a couple miles from my house in Las Vegas and
bought a D-Link DFE-530TX+ Fast Ethernet PCI Adapter. It cost me 14.99. And
I bought in the PC section. And, the box says it works for Macintosh 9.X &
10.1X. You could get it in CompUSA or any number of places. I installed it
in about 10 minutes and things work fine.
