I just figured out that going to 10.2.8 has meant I can't use my Umax Astra 2200 scanner anymore, which won't work past 9.1. Any suggestions for a comparable machine that will go with the setup below (I think it's USB1, not USB2)? It would be used infrequently, for pretty basic stuff, and I would prefer spending as little as possible. Thanks!
VueScan <http://www.hamrick.com> will let you continue to use the older one, though it's probably costlier than some USB scanners.
Buy.com (iirc) just had (or has) a one of those clear HP scanners on sale for $40.
