It does. Just not in the Subject header. Until one person requested it and bang it was imposed on everyone.
All my list email is shot directly to its specific mailbox, leaving the "in" box for mostly personal mail.
As for being "forced to set up another inbox and filter"! Really, does this take more than 10 seconds?
Every other list I subscribe to (other than the G-Books list) does so, and nowhere else has there ever been any complaints about it being a problem......

And another. I HATE the "[LISTNAME]" tag in my email. Every time I reply to a message, I cut it out.
Set up a filter for yourself. You're done after you burn those 15 seconds. You'll spend more time eye-balling your inbox picking one the [G-LIST] messages each time you get new mail...
All LEM lists identify themselves in the "header" with a "Sender:" header, "To:" header, and "Reply-to:" header. It's incredibly easy to build a filter using those as your keys.
