Hello Folks: If I wanted to backup or duplicate my hard drive on my G4, is
the best way just to add a second hard drive and drag the entire contents of the
first hard drive over to the second or is it more complex than this. I know
that in the PC world they use a ghosting program. Do Macs need a similar
program?
Depends on your OS.
OS 9 and lower, yeah, dust drag it across (but don't forget files on your desktop! They reside in a hidden folder in OS 9, and dragging the visible contents of your drive won't work. That one bit me on the a** one time, I lost a couple of very important files)
