I just installed a new firewall and now when I right-click on a link for a file I want to download (a compressed program file, not a graphic/image) and save on my drive, it no longer works. So I'm guessing it doesn't use port 80 for this function? Can anyone tell me which port it uses for its download function?
The port used is completely dependent on the URL of the file you are trying to download, but most likely the two events are unrelated. What type of error do you get when you try to download files now?
What OS? What firewall did you install?
