I decided on the pci card (well I actually have *2* pci slots left - have a slot fan and a usb card, so in reality I have *1* left after putting the scsi card in. That Xircom looks pretty cool tho, too. Hector: what software are you using for scanning, if I may ask, seeing as how we have the same scanner. On another vein altogether, anybody know why a Pioneer DV 106 from macsales won't burn anything? Worked great in the G3 minitower but won't now. Macsales said it is an apple pull, and should natively work! I wrote to them but haven't heard back. Thinking maybe there's a little trick or something. I got the hacked CD/DVD driver and tried that but still the same. I used Toast Titanium 5.2.3. The error message was this: Drive reported an error Sense key = ILLEGAL REQUEST Sense Code = 0x21, 0x02 Buffer underrun Thanks again, Mac Gurus! You all are the BEST!!
