It's not necessarily a bad idea to buy a rev 1 logic board, provided the price is right. You can get an entire machine for as little as 65 USD. Also, be aware that most replacement logic boards don't include the FireWire module.

Hello, I was wondering if a G4 450mhz would work in a B&W G3? I know some G4's do work, but was wondering about this specific one. Also, would it be a bad idea to buy a B&W rev1 mobo? Thanks a lot!
